CELEBRATION OF WORLD BREAST FEEDING WEEK

World Breast Feeding Week was organized on 8th & 9th August 2012 by Subharti nursing college.

The events of the program were as follows;

• Poster exhibition on breast feeding
• Role play for 10 min. showing the importance of breast feeding
• Video show for 3 min. on techniques of breast feeding

The program was organized by the faculty, M.Sc (N) students and ANM students in Dufferin Woman Government Hospital on 08/09/12 and in the Paediatric OPD of Chatrapati Shivaji Subharti Hospital on 09/08/12.

The beneficiary groups of the program were;

Dufferin Woman Hospital	Chatrapati Subharti Hospital
Antenatal mothers Postnatal mothers Mothers of infants OPD and in-patient relatives	Postnatal mothers Mothers of infants OPD and in-patient relatives
Group size - 80	Group size - 100

The program was evaluated by means of a feedback Performa filled up by the group that attended. The program latter was conducted under the leadership of Ms.Shilpi Sarkar, Lecturer, Dept.of Paediatric Nursing, Subharti Nursing College under the supervision of Ex.Capt. Mrs. Geeta Parwanda, Principal, Subharti Nursing College.
