PHILOSOPHY

WE THE FACULTY MEMBERS OF THE DEPARTMENT:
- BELIEVE THAT KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSING AMONG NURSING STUDENTS WILL ENSURE THE STUDENTS TO UNDERSTAND DIFFERENT LEVELS OF HEALTH PROGRAMMES IMPLEMENTED IN THE COMMUNITY.

OBJECTIVE

AT THE END OF THE COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSING COURSE THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO:-
FUNCTION EFFICIENTLY AS A COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSE AT VARIOUS LEVELS OF HEALTH CARE DELIVERY SYSTEM.

AIM

- THE AIM OF THE OBSTETRICS AND GYNAECOLOGICAL NURSING PROGRAM IN NURSING TO PREPARE THE STUDENTS ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES AS REGISTERED MIDWIFE, EDUCATORS AND ADMINISTRATORS.

OBJECTIVE

ON COMPLETION OF THE OBG NURSING PROGRAMME, THE STUDENT IS ABLE TO:
DESCRIBE THE EPIDEMIOLOGY, ETIOLOGY, PATHOPHYSIOLOGY AND DIAGNOSTIC ASSESSMENT OF WOMEN WITH OBSTETRICAL CONDITIONS.
