HEALTH CAMP ON MATERNAL & CHILD HEALTH

"yahi vachan he sabse acha Rahe surakshith jachha bachha"

M.Sc(N) and B.Sc(N) Students of Subharti Nursing College organized an MCH camp at PHC Bhoorbaral, on 12th December 2012, for the female residents of Bhoorbaral, with the objective of creating health awareness on pregnancy, labour , pueperium and importance of family planning methods.

The program started as per schedule, at 10:00am with registration. The program was inaugurated by Mr. Lallu, Pradhan of Bhoorbaral. Dr. Ashuthosh, Dr. T.K Sharma, Dr. Anjali, and Mrs. Uma Gupta were the Chief Guests. OPD checkup was arranged for the patients. After which students of Subharti Nursing College educated them on the different diets to be followed for different diseases. Students also demonstrated how to prepare a diet. Medications were provided for the patients, free of cost. A total of 60 people were present for pre test and attended the program.

A Nukkad Natak on the topic “yahi vachan he sabse acha Rahe surakshith jachha bachha” was performed by the student nurses. The Natak touched on the importance of ante natal checkup and nutrition during pregnancy. The residents participated in the program with great enthusiasm. After the program they wrote a post test paper which was completed in 5-6 minutes.
