REPORT ON -AIDS AWARENESS PROGRAM

Students of Subharti Nursing College organized an AIDS awareness camp, on 1st December, 2012, for the Inter-College students of Bhoorbharal, with the objective of creating awareness among them.

VENUE :Inter-college, Bhoorbharal, Meerut

The program started as scheduled at 11:00am. All the students were first organized properly and then were instructed to write the pre-test paper. A total of 158 students of XI & XII appeared in the pre test and attended the awareness program. Post test was conducted for 15 minutes.

A Nukkad Natak on prevention of and control of AIDS was performed by the student nurses. The Natak touched on ways of transmission of HIV/AIDS and also focused on the power of youth in its prevention. The students of Inter college participated in the program with great enthusiasm. After the program they wrote a post test paper which they completed in 6-7minutes.

The students also participated in the poster making competition. The posters were evaluated by the principal, senior school teachers and teaching faculty of the Dept. of Community Health Nursing, Subharti Nursing College.

Students of Subharti Nursing College also participated in the Inter college debate competition held in Subharti Microbiology Dept. of Medical College on the topic “ AIDS patient should be ostracized” as well as Quiz Competition organized by Subharti Nursing College.
