LAMP LIGHTING CEREMONY-2014
The Lamp Lighting Ceremony of Nursing Students of Batch 2014 from Subharti Nursing College was held at Guru Tej Bahadur Audtorium of Subharti University, Meerut, on 07.02.2015. Around 180 students of B.Sc Nursing, GNM and ANM course took the pledge to maintain professional ethics and dignity.
The Mayor of Meerut Mr. Harikant Ahluwalia was the Chief Guest and Dr. Mukti Bhatnagar, Founder President, Subharti K.K.B Charitable Trust, was the Guest of Honor. The Chief Guest and the Guest of Honor along with Ex. Capt. Geeta Parwanda, Principal, Subharti Nursing College, lit the lamp.
 The Nursing Students, with lighted candles took the oath of service from Ex. Capt Geeta Parwanda, amidst vedic chants as the lighting of the lamp symbolizes transfer of knowledge, skills and spirit of service.
The senior students of GNM internship have presented a skit regarding the woman empowerment followed by a video which admires the entire great Indian woman.
Chief Guest Mr. Harikant Ahluwalia congratulated the novice nursing students for choosing the noble profession and motivated the students to maintain high standards of their profession. Awards were given to meritorious students who stood first in Academics. The chief Guest along with the guest of honor released the Year Book of Subharti Nursing College GLIMPSES 2014.
Dr.V.K Bhatnagar, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Dr. A.K.Asthana, Dean, Subharti Medical college ,Col.Thressiamma, Depty.Principal Matron, Millitary Hospital, Meerut, Mr. Vinod Bharti, Social Activist, All the principals of various colleges of Subharti University, apart from the senior staff and faculty members of Subharti Hospital and Nursing College respectively, were present to grace the occasion.
The ceremony concluded with the blessings of Founder President Dr.Mukti Bhatnagar. The programme aimed to inculcate in the students, values of life, along with the need to imbibe virtues of compassion, kindness and dedicated service to Humanity, emblematic of this noble profession.
