Lamp Lighting Report

January 13th 2016, was a memorable day for Panna Dhai Subharti Nursing College, as the day witnessed a new event with the Lamp Lighting Ceremony of 2015 batch of B.Sc. (N), G.N.M and A.N.M students. The ceremony was held at Guru Tegh Bahadur Auditorium, Subharti University. Total of 180 nursing novice who comprised of 40 ANM, 100 GNM and 40 B. Sc Nursing students were present for the occasion.

The ceremony commenced at 10:00 a.m with the floral welcome of the Chief Guest, Mr. Pawan Agarwal, PCS, Deputy Commissioner, Industries, Guest of Honour  Lt. Col Syamala T.D, Military Hospital, Meerut, Honourable Vice Chancellor, Dr. N.K Ahuja and the distinguished guests and the whole gatherings.  Alumni students of 2014 Batch were also invited for the lamp lighting ceremony along with the distinguished guests.

The program begins by lighting the “lamp of wisdom, service and sacrifice”  by the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour and was transferred to the Class Coordinators followed by lighting of the lamp of the nursing students from the Class Coordinators and oath taking  which  was lead by Ex. Capt. Geeta Parwanda, Principal, Panna Dhai Maa Subharti Nursing College.

   Chief guest and Guest of Honour blessed the students by giving a small message on dedication to our profession. Prizes were conferred to deserving students for their excellence in curricular and extracurricular activities.  It was then followed by skit performed by IV Year B.Sc. (N) students. Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Dr. N.K Ahuja, motivated the students with his inspirational thoughts. The function comes to an end with vote of thanks followed by alumni meet of the 2014 Batch of nursing students.
